FRIEL, Edmund J. Jr. of Ayer, formerly of Cambridge and Arlington. A retired Cambridge Firefighter. June 4th, 2018. Beloved son of the late Edith and Edmund “Buddy” J. Friel Sr. Loving brother of Stephen Friel and his wife Judith of Hampden, George Friel and his companion Elaine Elias of Arlington, Michael Friel and his wife Susanne of Bedford, Louise Allwein and her husband John of Cambridge, formerly of Westford, and the late Leslie Richards and David Friel. Brother in law of James Richards of Bedford, NH and Kathe Arendt of Gilbert, AZ. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Edmund was an Air Force Vietnam veteran and a retired Cambridge Fire Fighter for over 28 years. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave., NO. CAMBRIDGE on Wednesday from 4-8 pm. A graveside service will be held on Thursday in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Forge Village Road, Westford at 11 am.
