GREGORY, Virginia S of Arlington. Died at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center on June 25, 2012. She was 80 years old. Born and raised in Staten Island, New York, she was one of 8 children. She graduated from College of Mount St. Vincent in New York where she was president of the student body. At age 21 she completed her Masters in Education from Northwestern University. She was a TWA flight attendant during the “Golden Age” of commercial aviation in the early-mid 1950s. She spent every day of her life devoutly following the Catholic faith. A long time member of St. Agnes parish, she served as a lector and on the Parish Council. She was active in Opus Dei for almost 50 years. She was an enthusiastic supporter of Robbins Library and was active in community affairs and many community organizations. She worked in Human Resources at Boston University for 34 years and continued serving on the University’s retirement board. Despite a busy schedule she was highly organized and projected calmness. She loved beauty, whether found in nature, the arts or fashion. Youthful in mind, energy and appearance, she enjoyed the love and company of a great number of family members and friends. She traveled often around the world visiting her children and grandchildren. For those who knew Virginia her warmth, empathy, laughter, keen mind, spirituality and unlimited love were irresistible.
